A quality stone surface is a long-term investment, and with the right care it will maintain its beauty and performance for decades. Medici offers both maintenance guidance and professional repair services to ensure your stone surfaces stay in pristine condition throughout their lifespan.
Day-to-Day Care
For everyday cleaning, wipe your stone surface with warm water and a mild detergent using a soft microfibre cloth. For tougher marks, a non-abrasive kitchen cleaner or diluted isopropyl alcohol will usually do the job. Avoid harsh scouring pads, especially on polished finishes, as these can dull the surface over time.
Sealing
Sealing requirements depend on your stone type. Natural stones such as marble and granite require periodic sealing — marble more frequently due to its porous nature, and granite typically once a year. Engineered stone and porcelain benchtops are non-porous and do not require sealing.
